Going Live on the Face Page!
For those of you that follow me on the ole face page, you know that the last two nights I have done a live show. I am not sure where I came up with the idea to do the live show, but I just decided one night I was going to do it. I was pretty sure I was going to be okay, but things aren't always what the seem. I guess after two shows I needed to jot down some notes for you to read and maybe laugh a little.
I am used to recorded media. I record my audio ahead of time, I record my videos ahead of time, hell if I could, I would have someone else write the articles ahead of time so I would be sure they were good before the go live on the site. So dipping into a live format was somewhat new and nerve-racking. I wasn't sure if I was going to sound okay, or if I was going to freeze up, or if my internet connection would handle it. These are the things that went through my head the whole first show. Now that I have two under my belt, well hell, I guess I am a pro.
Doing the live show is actually kind of fun once you get past the fear. I have decided that I like it, and hell, in the first hour of my second show being posted, it hit over 120 views. I only had 8 watching me live the second show, but that was almost a 300% increase from the first show's numbers. Maybe, if I get pretty good at this, I will get like 25 live viewers. Shit I will have to get security because I will be face page famous. Hey! Stop laughing! It could happen.
The one thing I was proud about, was not sweating. Of course it has been cold in the garage, so I guess I am lucky my breath wasn't crystallizing in front of my face. How weird would that be? Viewers would think I was a demon or some kind of shit having smoke come out of my mouth. Probably get some emails from the religious types telling me to repent or something.
The one thing I was not so proud about, was the nose scratching in the first episode. I swear to all that is holy to somebody, I had a nose itch that would not go away. I literally touched my nose more times than Jerry Sandusky played "Splish-Splash Butthole Diddle" with those football camp boys. I am just relieved I didn't have a booger hangin.
I have come to the conclusion that I like the live show, even with the nose fiasco. I am going to continue to do it each night at 9:30 EST until someone tells me to stop. I will just post the audio afterwards for the ones that would rather listen, which I understand because I have a face for radio. In any case, be sure to check out the live show every Monday through Friday at 9:30 EST on my Face Page!
Be Good & Take Care.
